Cake
50 g butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla sugar
1/4 cups water
1/2 cups milk
1 egg
1/2 cups flour
1/4 cups of cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup granulated sugar
ganache
100 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa content)
1/2 cups cream
Do this:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a form 20 cm diameter with baking paper.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
3. Add the vanilla sugar, water, milk and eggs to the butter.
4. Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and sugar, and sift down into the butter mixture.
3. Beat on low speed until smooth and then pour the batter into the mold.
4. Bake in middle of oven for about 15 minutes.
5. Prepare ganachen while you let the cake cool.
6. Coarsely chop the chocolate and place in a heatproof bowl.
7. Pour the cream into a saucepan and heat. Pull the pan from the heat just when the cream begins to boil. Pour the cream over the chocolate and stir gently until chocolate is completely melted into the cream. Place in the refrigerator and check it occasionally until it has thickened and given a spreadable consistency.
